Story

Although Pete Carpenter, who co-composed themes and many episode scores for The Rockford Files (1974) and other TV series with Mike Post, passed away in 1987, he is still credited with Post on this and the rest of the Rockford Files TV movies.

Marcia Strassman, who plays Dr Trish George, had previously appeared in the original series' 2-part episode The Rockford Files: Only Rock 'n Roll Will Never Die: Part 1 (1979), The Rockford Files: Only Rock 'n Roll Will Never Die: Part 2 (1979).

Stefan Gierasch did not appear on the original series, but portrayed a recurring character on James Garner's earlier series, Nichols (1971).
