Trivia

Matthew Nelson was hired the same day he shot his scenes. His parts were written into the movie that day.

Throughout the film Joel Miller opens a number of scenes with Jason Barry posed to reference famous pieces of art. Jacques-Louis David's "Death of Marat," Michelangelo's distorted, disconsolate self portrait that is within "the flayed skin" Bartholomew holds in the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's "Pieta," and Roudin's "The Thinker."

Phyllis Diller said that the role of Mrs. Stratford was the finest role offered to her in her career. However, due to health issues she was unable to play the part and recommended using Terry Moore instead.

Terry Moore wore Phyllis Diller personal wigs throughout the film.

Rachel Miner was hired the night before shooting. She was recommended by Joel Michaely as being perfect for the part. After meeting her the director thought so as well.
