Based on a Japanese light novel series written by Ryousuke Hata and illustrated by Kuma. It began serialization online in February 2016 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Narou. It was later acquired by Futabasha, who have published five volumes from September 2016 to April 2018 under their Monster Bunko imprint.
The first two episodes received an early screening at a special event on June 16, 2024 at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo. The regular broadcast started on June 26, 2024.
Each episode was streamed seven days in advance of the TV broadcast from June 26, 2024, on ABEMA and Crunchyroll. Regular broadcasting began July 3, 2024.
