One of the last films that Producer Elie Samaha would co-produce with Millennium Films as he would go on to form, Franchise Pictures soon after with actor Andrew Stevens and it's first release being the cult hit, The Boondock Saints released in 1999. Samaha and the company would go through legal, financial trouble throughout the 2000's forcing it to shut down.
The Amoured Car getaway stunt with the School Bus and police cars blowing up took about a week to film.

The music that Peter Coyote plays in the Cowboy Cabaret is a waltz composed by the films' composer Robert O. Ragland for Coyote's character, The Butcher which is a take off on The Godfather Theme by Nino Rota.
Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa and Tia Carrere both starred in the film, Rising Sun which came out 4 years after this film was released.
