This would be the second time Nabil Elouahabi has played someone called Gary. First was in sitcom Only Fools and Horses when he was thought to be an illegal immigrant who was nicknamed "Gary".
Sheridan Smith (Becky) and Russell Tovey (Paul) have previously worked together on the TV show, Gavin & Stacey (2007) playing Ruth 'Rudi' Smith and Budgie respectively.
