This is the sixth collaboration between Jackie Chan and director Stanley Tong after Supercop (1992), Rumble in the Bronx (1995), First Strike (1996), The Myth (2005), and Kung Fu Yoga (2017).
Scheduled for January 25, 2020 in China, Vanguard and all films set for release during the Chinese Lunar New Year period have been pulled due to concerns over the spread of coronavirus.
