One of the many nicknames Edward (Danny Glover) has for Jim (James Lafferty), is "Jimmy Jam". James Lafferty starred on One Tree Hill (2003), and his character, Nathan, had a son James, who he often referred to as "Jimmy Jam".
Much of the movie was filmed in a diner in Lehi, Utah called "One Man Band".
