TRIVIA

Trivia

The song "Mera Piya Ghar Aaya" was sampled from the song " Mera Piya Ghar Aaya" from the album Magic Touch by Bally Sagoo. Sung by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

The whole story line of Rishi Kapoor bringing Madhuri Dixit to act as his bride is taken from the 1977 film 'Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Mann Bhaye' starring Madan Puri.

When Madhuiri pretends to be a Caucasian woman, she uses the alias "Kavita Krishnamurthy". In real life, Kavita Krishnamurthy is a famous Bollywood playback singer who has sang for Madhuri in many films, including this one.

At the restaurant, Madhuri Dixit(as Kavita Krishnamurthy) mistakenly thinks that Kadar Khan is M. F. Hussain. In real life, M.F. Hussain was a famous Indian artist who was obsessed with Madhuri and did many paintings of the actress. He even made a cameo appearance in her film "Mohabbat" and cast her in his film "Gaja Gamini".

Shakti Kapoor pays a tribute to Madhuri Dixit's iconic song from Tezaab, "Ek Do Teen" before she gets to dance to 'Mera Piya Ghar Aaya.'
