When the film was launched in 2003, it was to be shot in Vancouver BC , Canada. The script was also different. It was based on a father daughter story. Sanjay Gupta said it was inspired by Sanjay Dutt' s story with his daughter Trishala. Sanjay Gupta decided to eventually change the subject.
