I purchased three Gionee L800 (Black) mobile, 12 days ago in local stores. its really awesome for a 2000 rupees (INR) mobile and feels good in build . Main reason for buying these mobile is 3000mah battery. There are lot of positive things from Gionee mobiles Manufacturer.nPros:n1. It has MTK Chipset (MT6250) known for low power consumption and java interface is very fast.n2. It has Dialer search which is very fast then smart dialing of my any android smartphone. U can search it via name or number and it displays contact name or number perfectly.n3. It has excellent voice call clarity in crowded places.n4. Speaker clarity is excellent even in full volume.n5. Headset they provided good quality and 3.5mm stereo jack is very good in budget mobile. it provides good amount of clarity in bgm and voice.n6.Battery backup is excellent and it gives about 12 days from factory charge and still i am using. For my dad,it gives 4 days backup if we use it for calling, because my dad speaks about atleast 5 hrs daily. n7. It supports mp4,avi,3gp codec at a maximum resolution of 480*400p, but it still plays 480p videos with a minor lag. Music player is very default interface like in java mobiles but it support mp3 and wav codecs. It has good fm radio with recording option n8. Five bluetooth profiles supported. A2DP,HFP,OPP,AVRCP,AV remote control target.n9. I am using Sandisk 16gb Class 10 card and working fine with fully loaded, Still User interface is fast.n10. It has inbuilt sms backup and phonebook backup. U can import phonebook contacts of csv and vcard format. Individual vcard files is supported, but u have to take a backup of sim contacts through phone, then only u can copy ur contacts to that backup folder (in mem card named as 'backup') and then import it.n11.U can install java applications and default it has twitter,fb,yahoo cricket & messenger, opera mini.n12. U can connect it through china mobile pc suite. U can download usb driver and pc suite from gionnee l800 support page.n13. U get one leather pouch, earphone, micro usb charger with usb cable at a power o/p rating of 5v,1000ma.( I got the same charger for Gionee elife e3) from the boxnnCons:n1.Music player has no equalizer. but u can have good amount of clarity in normal mode via headset or in speakern2.In video player u cant play next and previous files in continuous. u can play files in individual.n3. Widget manager and shortcuts are fixed, but u can arrage it. Two type of app icons theme.n4.Camera quality is average which u cant expect good quality from budget devices. still its not good compared to nokia basic handset 1.3mp cam had.nnIt has waterproof sticker in motherboard. U can't get these type of features in a budget and featured mobile. I enquired local gionee service centre for getting extra battery and they said it costs around 400 to 450 INR but u have to place an order to get it because of no stock in hand.nnGood Go!!!
After looking through about 8 basic feature phones, I settled on the Gionee Long L800 in Black Champagne. I’ve never owned a Gionee phone before and knew next to nothing about the reliability or performance of the brand. My phone was delivered on the 13th of February, 2014.nnPositives:nn1. The Battery – The battery is 75% of the weight of the handset and for good reason; it’s a 3000 mAh battery in a basic phone –most smartphones have 2300-3300 mAh batteries. I charged the phone to 100% after I unboxed it. It has been 16 days since then and I have not needed to charge it and it’s at 50% now.nnn2. The Speaker – The phone’s speaker is loud (no surprise) but what’s important is that the sound quality is fairly good, even outdoors. The alarms and ringtones are way louder than most other phones, but get crackly at high volumes.nnn3. The Browser – The Opera browser that comes pre-installed comes loaded with all the right bookmarks and is much quicker than the default browser. Facebook, Yahoo Messenger and Twitter are helpful add-ons. nnn4. The Menus – Menus load easily and are fairly intuitive for a Java-enabled phone. The caller blacklist feature is my personal favourite because it allows you to blacklist and whitelist phone numbers from the device menu.nnnCould Be Better:nnn1. The Keypad – In an attempt to make a sleeker keypad, Gionee has sacrificed usability. The keypad is a little too smooth and takes some getting used to if you are used to the clearly defined keys. Expect a few misspellings in the early days of using the phone.nn2. The Construction – The phone’s appearance is adequate, but not very classy and the plastics look a tad cheap. However, the USB/power and the headphone slots are placed very well and don’t require you to jiggle the cables around. The stock earphones are adequate at best.nn3. The Camera – Advertised as a 1.3 megapixel camera, this has got to be the phone’s biggest drawback. Photographs look more VGA than 1.3 mp and the phone does not allow you resize or set wallpapers that are anything size other than 160x120 pixels. nnnThis phone is impressive for its price and is great value for money. It gets the two most important features of a budget phone perfectly – battery life and voice quality. I highly recommend this as a budget/interim/backup basic phone.
