The HP 14-r004TU (G8D25PA) features a 14-inch HD LED backlit BrightView display which has been built to look glamorous while playing rich videos and games. It looks quite sharp with a WXGA resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels.
The sparkling black colored glossy body has a thickness of 25.4mm and a weight of just 1.9kg which is really surprising. A full size textured island style keyboard accompanied with a multi touch gesture supported touchpad serve as the input options.
CPU and OS
Under the hood, the laptop comes loaded with a 1.7GHz Intel Core3 4010U processor from the 4th generation family built on the QM87 Express chipset. The preloaded DDR3 RAM has a capacity of 4GB which can be boosted up to 8GB via the 2 unused SODIMM memory slots. In the absence of any external graphics card, the task for managing demanding graphics is managed by Intel HD 4400 GPU. It runs the freshly launched Windows 8.1 OS out of the box.

The HP 14-r004TU (G8D25PA) houses a HP TrueVision HD webcam and meets the storage needs of the users with the standard 500GB SATA hard disk. The presence of a SuperMulti DVD RW Drive with support for dual layers lets you playback files or load them on disks at ease.
