The HP Pavilion 17-f004dx (J6U79UA) is a great entertainer which offers a mini theater like experience to its users by its graphics, high quality speakers and 17-inch screen. Nonetheless, AMD processor is equipped to compensate for an affordable price tag.

Display and Design

The HP Pavilion 17-f004dx (J6U79UA) is a 17.3-inch HD BrightView WLED backlit display notebook with 1,600 x 900 pixels resolution. The peripheral devices are full-size island style keyboard and multi-touch gesture supported touchpad. It arrives in silver colored body with 27.7mm thickness and weighs 2.8kg.    

 

Processor and OS

The Pavilion series notebook functions on 64-bit Windows 8.1 operating system which is a fitting platform for multitasking and business oriented jobs. The HP Pavilion 17-f004dx (J6U79UA) notebook is powered by AMD quad-core A10-5745M processor with a clock speed of 2.1GHz. The processor is coupled with 6GB onboard memory to offer good computer performance. The machine is provided with 3GB dedicated AMD Radeon HD 8610G graphics processor to take care of the gaming and visual needs.

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

The Pavilion 17-f004dx (J6U79UA) notebook consists of HP TrueVision webcam to aid the webcam and other video chat related activities. The physical storage is SATA type hard disk drive (HDD) with a capacity of 750GB to store all the necessary information. The audio devices are dual array digital microphone and dual stereo speakers with BeatsAudio and HD audio solution technologies. In order to transfer hard disk data to CDroms and DVDs, SuperMulti DVD burner comes under the hood.
