Verdict

The HP 2000-2D28TU (E4X59PA) is a low range laptop suitable for carrying out basic computing needs of the user. However, it impresses with some features such as HD webcam, Intel Core i3 processor and a fast optical drive which are highly unexpected in this price. You will have to bear with the Ubuntu OS, high thickness and poor RAM though.

The HP 2000-2D28TU (E4X59PA) arrives with a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit Brightview display which offers extra brightness and a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The outfit looks extremely chunky with a thickness of 35.8mm and a weight of 2.4kg. While the lid has a brushed black finish, the palm area has a glossy black color that acts as a magnet to scratches and fingerprints.

 

CPU and OS

 

Under the hood, the HP 2000-2D28TU (E4X59PA) is loaded with a 2.4GHz Intel Core i3 processor from the 3rd generation and built on HM75 Express chipset. It is supported by a mere 2GB DD3 RAM which is acceptable in this price range and can be expanded up to 8GB.
