note:I did not buy this from flipkart The laptop comes with core i5 ivy bridge, much faster than the preveous version of the i5. booting with windows 8 feels like a breeze, you need to download all the drivers though I upgraded the RAM to 6GB, to work with Virtual Machines The graphics included is Quite good for Above moderate gaming and trust me, it is much better than an nvidia g20m and whatever other laptops brings in with a 2 gb dedicated graphics memory(2gb/1gb, it doesnt make much difference, all it matters is the card, for more details do and compare cards in game-debate) This thing renders videos in premiere pro very swiftly and fuction very well with matlab and vm ware onto gaming: Make sure that you got all the latest drivers installed and High Performance mode enabled in Switchable Graphics in ccc. It runs Assassins Creed III smoothly, without any problems with the latest drivers, but older drivers will give errors (AC3SP.exe stopped working) Modern Warfare 3 ran pretty smoothly with all settings maxed ou(OMG...!, Yeah I know) Most Wanted 2 works fine in ultra settings too like i said, Much much better than nvidia 610m/620m/650m of 2gb graphics, or even more who cares A configuration like this can assure you future safe gaming for at least five years I am also surprised by how the laptop stays quiet and cool during maxed out gaming, however i will not encourage you to run it all maxed out for hours Most laptops like this comes with windows 7 home basic, but you know, its got an unusual tendency to hang, So i preferred a Non OS laptop, fortunately, hp provides it. I guarantee you that it is much better than the a8 of amd, and it also wont microstutter as it is not having an assymetric crossfire. The Altec Lansing speakers provided by it is fantastic, much better than similarly priced dell it is quite light weighted at slightly heavier than 2kg I tell you that it is quite worth the cost you pay -delton
I Bought this laptop on the last day of year 2012 though i could have waited a week more for the new year launch. I'm surprised to see flipkart selling this product for the cheapest price ever , a combo of i5+ 7670m at just 35k is the best thing to get. Although there is no OS installed and a legit copy might cost u around 6k.. the price is very much impressing. I didn't buy it from flipkart but bought it for 38750/- from local dealer and now flipkart is selling it much lower than before quoted as 39610/- last week. New warranty offer for 2+years after the free first year can be extended for just 1999/- which is very good and currently flipkart is also offering it. I missed on this one and haven't extended warranty which i would wish to... Well, i must say i'm very much satisfied with this laptop purchase. It's config clearly tells that most of games are playable at mid-high settings with 30+ fps. I tried few games and must say it's a very decent gaming laptop for its price. Coming to the performance, i installed win 8 pro 64 bit and it does all the basic tasks like a charm. A bit more ram for instance 6gb or 8gb would ensure much more smoother experience. The build quality is not bad at all... I can tell, u can't get better off this price. The internal components don't heat up much and temperatures are either adequate or even less allowing it to run cool and quiet most of the times . All the drivers are working off well from hp support site. So, everything including display(above average), audio( good speakers with clear and high volume but lacks quality bass), trackpad( smooth and good sensitivity) are all working well. I must say this laptop has little to no cons. The only con i have observed so far is that the keyboard flexes at the lower right corner where the arrow keys are located. This happens when i press two or more arrow keys one after other at same time usually while playing games on it. Due to this the keyboard pushesh down and back up sometimes giving u a harsh noise or a click sound. It gets irritating when u only want to use the laptop keyboard for gaming. I'm not sure if it's the case with only my laptop or others also face a similar problem. I might need to replace the keyboard with a new one or remove it out and fix back in properly to eliminate the unnecessary flex. The up and down arrow keys though small aren't a hindrance to gaming. I feel comfortable playing on them, that's why i like using them and feel disturbed when it starts pushing down and makes that ugly noise. Thank u for reading my review
