Verdict
The HP Pavilion G6 laptop is a decent laptop for everyday use, although it might not be loaded with many interesting features, but keeping in mind  the price tag and also that you get a Pavilion branded system, this is a quality offer. The overall build quality is good as any other HP laptop. And the G6 does pack some punch with its dual core AMD A4 chip combined with switchable GPU and 4GB RAM. If you are in tight spot with limited cash at your disposable the G6 is good value for money backed up by a good brand.

Display and Design

The HP Pavilion G6 is made from high quality plastic which is finished with a glossy black color. The hinges are made from metal, giving the lid good support and keeping it from bouncing around. The display is a 15.6-inch HD LED with a native resolution of 1366x768 pixels making it really crisp to watch videos and play games on. The keyboard is wide spread which comes with a numeric number pad. The large touch pad supports multiple gesture which is good for easy navigation.

Processor and OS

The G6 comes with an AMD A4 processor which is a dual core processor with a base clock speed of 2.5GHz and it can turbo boost up to 3.1GHz when required. The preinstalled operating system is the latest offering by Microsoft , the Windows 8 which is specially easy to use along with the gesture support touchpad.

Camera, Storage, Multimedia

The 1MP HD truelife webcam has HD video and image capturing capabilities, the webcam can also be used to Skype or video chat using other compatible software. The laptop comes with a 500GB hard drive which gives the user good storage space for saving his precious data and multiple large file without running short on storage. The G6 gives an amazing multimedia experience due to its 1GB dedicated GPU and ALTEC Lansing speakers, enabling the laptop to support smooth HD playback and clear audio.
