HP Pavilion M4-1003TX Laptop (Core i5 3rd Gen/6 GB/750 GB/Windows 8/2)

I was in a state of confusion for the last few months cuz I was looking for a laptop with a decent and a very portable laptop for a price range of 50k. There were some contenders but after much, much study of benchmarks and the statistical performance keeping in mind the price range I finally choosed HP Pavillion M4-1003tx. I was sure that my studies wouldn't let me down but the only thing I was afraid of was "Will this laptop get heated too quick?" but inspite of this question I finally bought this laptop. And I would like to tell everyone that, unlike the other 40-50k range HP gaming laptops of G6 series, this laptop DOESNOT have any such issue about overheating. The day I bought this laptop I installed two games (yes, heavy once ofcourse, Battlefield 3 and Prototype 2) and played for 3 long hours continuously, and I was just amazed to see how cool the laptop stayed. This laptop is a must if you are a price range of 45-50k. As for the above comment by the above user, I would presume if it is a manufacturing defect. As for the technical specifications I will sum up in Pros and Cons. Pros. 1. Core i5 3230M Ivy Bridge based Processor having 2 Cores and 4 threads (Hyper Threading) just superb processor. If you look at the bench marks its even better than some i7 processor. 2. Dedicated Nvidia 730M 2GB Graphics Card. Go to gamedebate.com and look for this mobile GPU and look at the benchmarks. Superb results. A perfect GPU for playing modern demanding games. 3. Display, as clear as Crystal. 4. Booting time. Gone are the days when yiu have to wait for a while to get windows loaded. With 8 GB of RAM the boot time takes only about 8 seconds. 5. Hardware, its metallic touch. Cons: 1. Its speakers. Although the quality of the speakers is superb but the strength and the volume of the speaker is way to low. If you are playing a game you could hardly hear what the characters are saying if you are in a big room. I bought this laptop from a local HP store and not from flipkart. And I'm amazed to see why flipkart has downgraded the product while keeping the same price. Ram should have been 8 GB and hard disc should have been 1 TB. Hoping flipkart would take measures against this. So I would like to finish this saying that this laptop is worth each penny you have spend for it. A must!!

i bought this laptop last week from a local store.....was charged rs.52,500 for it. overall this is a nice performing laptop with high end specs, but the display the trackpad and the heating are a huge letdown.....if you are looking for nice looks matched with average performance...this is a good option...but i would suggest you to have a look at lenovo z500 series...much better for the same pricing.... NOTE: if your sole purpose for buying is for gaming...this is a really bad option...heats a lot!! even for very low settings(played nfs12,cod mw bops...730m is really good though) i had bought it for casual gaming...but cant spend more than an hour on it because of overheating...even a cooling pad didnt work to much affect. overall an average buy, but i doubt it will remain good for the long run PROS: 1.nvidia gt730m-awesome 2.keyboard-easy on user 3.premium looks 4.8GB ram and 1tb(not much of use really) CONS: 1.price 2.HEATING 3.trackpad 4.no numpad or backlit 5.average display and sound for this price IMPORTANT:PLEASE CONTACT FLIPKART BEFORE BUYING....I BOUGHT THE VERSION AVAILABLE ON HP SITE...THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THAT AND THE VERSION ADVERTISED BY FLIPKART..... 1.RAM 8GB VS 6GB 2.HDD 1TB VS 750GB 3.I5 3230M--H77 VS H75 I BELIEVE FLIPKART IS IMPORTING THIS VERSION...NOT SUGGESTED TO BUY ONLINE...
