Dreame Mova K10 Pro Wet and Dry vaccum cleaner overview
Wet cleaning is a vital part of maintaining clean floors in most Indian homes. While dry vacuum cleaners can’t claim to help in this regard, we’ve tried robotic ones with mopping capabilities, which also left something to be desired in this area. The Dream Mova K10 Pro Wet and Dry vacuum, however, managed to surprise us pleasantly.
Priced at Rs 19,999, the Mova K10 Pro sets out to address the common challenges faced in home cleaning—especially when dealing with both wet and dry messes.
Design
Weighing 3.8kg, it’s not really lightweight, especially considering it’s a device that one needs to push through the entire house. However, the device’s flexible swivel body and ergonomic handle offer comfortable control, and the self-propelled traction system is a plus — it pulls itself along during cleaning, reducing the physical effort required and making longer cleaning sessions less tiring. Do keep in mind that it’s cordless, so there’s no hassle of a cord trailing behind, making the cleaning process simpler and hassle-free. The device comes with two water tanks — one which you need to fill up with clean water, and another that collects dirty water after cleaning. There’s a stick handle on top to hold and steer the vacuum cleaner, and a display on top of the main unit shows the operating mode, battery levels etc.
Features
Equipped with a high-performance motor pushing out up to 15,000Pa of suction (running at 120,000 RPM), the K10 Pro promises to suck dirt and dust, and get rid of stubborn spills. It features smart dirt detection, which automatically adjusts power and suction depending on the type of mess encountered, which promises to improve efficiency without manual input. There’s also a self-cleaning feature, which automatically cleans the roller brush at the press of a button.
Wet & dry cleaning
For Indian floors, where wet cleaning is routine, the device’s twin scraper system stands out. The front scraper is effective for picking up hair and loose dirt, while the rear rubber scraper helps minimise water streaks on hard surfaces. The K10 Pro’s cornering ability (up to 6mm into edges) works reasonably well. However, manual cleaning would still be needed to get stubborn dirt out of tight corners.
Tank & battery capacity
With a 890ml clean water tank, frequent refilling becomes less of a hassle during large cleaning tasks. The onboard battery (7 x 2,400mAh cells) delivers about 20 to 30 minutes of use in auto mode, covering up to 200m² in one go — so it should work well for medium and large homes. However, the device takes a long time to charge (about 3 hours). Charging is simple, though — just plonk it into its charging base, and it juices up.
Usage
Real-time feedback comes via voice prompts and the LED display, keeping users updated on battery status and cleaning mode. This adds to the sense of control and confidence during use, especially for those new to more advanced cleaning tech. While it doesn’t get unpleasantly loud, the sound of the cleaner in operation could drown out the voice prompts.
Verdict
In summary, the Dreame Mova K10 Pro impresses with its blend of suction, versatile dual-mode cleaning, and ergonomic design that seems good for Indian needs. The combination of a large tank and decent battery life reduces interruptions, while intuitive controls and mobility features enhance convenience. At Rs 19,999, its feature set makes it worth considering for those seeking a multifaceted solution to both wet and dry cleaning at home.
