The Pixel 8 will be available in Obsidian, Hazel and Rose colour options, while the Pixel 8 Pro will come in Obsidian, Porcelain and Bay.
The Pixel 8 has gotten a negligible reduction in the screen size, down from the 6.3-inch display in the predecessor. However, both have gotten significantly brighter screens from their outgoing counterparts.
The Pixel 8 Pro should be more durable this year, as it comes with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be getting OS and security updates for seven years, up from the five Google previously offered.
The Pixel 8 is slightly lighter at 187 grams than the Pixel 8 Pro, which will weigh 213 grams.
As highlighted in our previous exclusive, Google is supplementing the phones’ camera capabilities with features like Real Tone, Night Sight, Astrophotography, Super Res Zoom, and the ability to swap faces in an image likely through Magic Editor.
Google has added Video Boost and Light Sight for low-light videos, and Audio Eraser for reduced ambient background sounds for videos.
