Infinix is set to launch its next gaming smartphone in India this week. The company has confirmed that the Infinix GT 50 Pro will launch in the country on October 27th with dedicated gaming controls and liquid cooling. The smartphone will succeed the Infinix GT 30 Pro and feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, a 144Hz AMOLED display and a 6,500mAh battery.
Ahead of the launch, Infinix has revealed several key specifications, while the smartphone’s global launch earlier this year has given us a better idea of what to expect. Here’s everything we know about the Infinix GT 50 Pro ahead of its launch in the country.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro will launch in India on October 27th, the company has confirmed. The smartphone will be available through Flipkart, and the brand has already opened pre-bookings on its official Indian website for Rs 1,999 till October 26th. The company is also advertising a complimentary Infinix X60 Bluetooth speaker as a pre-booking offer, although buyers should check the applicable terms before placing an order.
The GT 50 Pro debuted in select global markets in April 2026. In India, it will succeed the Infinix GT 30 Pro, which launched in June 2025. The older model introduced features such as a 144Hz AMOLED display, a Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, shoulder triggers and wireless charging at a starting price of Rs 24,999.
Reports suggest that the Infinix GT 50 Pro could launch below Rs 45,000, while another estimate places it in the Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 range. Neither is an official price, so the final amount could differ. The global model launched in Indonesia at prices equivalent to around Rs 35,000 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and Rs 40,000 for the 12GB + 512GB model.
For context, the Infinix GT 30 Pro launched in India at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and Rs 26,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Infinix’s current official store lists the phone from Rs 31,999.
If the GT 50 Pro launches around Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000, it could face competition from the POCO X8 Pro and OnePlus Nord CE 6, depending on their prices and available offers. These phones offer strong processors and fast displays, while the Infinix has a more elaborate cooling system, dedicated gaming triggers and an in-box magnetic cooler. A price approaching Rs 45,000 would make the GT 50 Pro harder to recommend on specifications, considering rivals offer comparable performance with better overall value.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro gets a distinctive rear design with visible liquid cooling channels, which Infinix calls its Explicit Viewport Design. The phone is available globally in Black Abyss, Red Blaze and Silver Glacier, although the Indian launch has been announced in Black Abyss and Red Blaze. The phone measures 162.44 x 77.23 x 8.15 mm and weighs 198 gms. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Compared to the GT 30 Pro, which features a Cyber Mecha design with customisable rear lighting, the newer model makes its cooling hardware a more prominent part of the design. It’s also slightly thicker and heavier, which is worth keeping in mind for those who prefer a lighter phone.
Infinix has confirmed most of the GT 50 Pro’s core specifications ahead of launch. The phone will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It also supports a touch sampling rate of up to 330Hz in Game Mode and touch reporting of up to 2,800Hz. The GT 30 Pro already offered a similarly sized 144Hz AMOLED display with the same claimed peak brightness, so the refresh rate and brightness figures remain unchanged.
The biggest hardware upgrade is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, replacing the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate in the GT 30 Pro. The new model also moves from UFS 4.0 to UFS 4.1 storage, while retaining LPDDR5X RAM. Infinix claims support for gaming at up to 144fps in compatible titles, though actual frame rates will depend on the game and its settings. The GT 30 Pro offered support for up to 120fps in BGMI, so the new model could deliver higher frame rates in supported games.
The GT 50 Pro also gets a more elaborate cooling setup. Its HydroFlow Liquid Cooling System comprises a 7,700 sq mm 3D vapour chamber, a micro-pump and dual piezoelectric ceramic plates, with liquid circulation of up to 6.5ml per minute. In comparison, the GT 30 Pro uses a six-layer 3D vapour chamber. The new system is designed to manage heat during extended gaming sessions, although independent testing will be needed to establish how much it improves sustained performance.
Both phones feature pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers, but the GT 50 Pro offers 10 pressure levels and four input modes: light press, hard press, left swipe and right swipe. This should give players more scope to customise controls for different games. In India, the GT 50 Pro is also expected to include the GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 in the box. The external magnetic accessory supports wireless bypass charging, although buyers should confirm the final retail package at launch.
Battery capacity increases from 5,500mAh on the GT 30 Pro to 6,500mAh on the GT 50 Pro, a gain of 1,000mAh, or around 18 percent. However, charging speeds remain unchanged at 45W wired and 30W wireless. Both phones support reverse charging as well. The larger battery should provide more capacity for gaming and everyday use, although actual battery life will depend on display settings, network conditions and gaming loads.
The camera hardware is a mixed bag. The GT 50 Pro has a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera, compared to the GT 30 Pro’s 108MP primary camera and 8MP ultrawide unit. Both have a 13MP front camera. The lower megapixel count does not automatically mean worse image quality, but the GT 50 Pro will need to deliver good processing and low-light results to make up for the change in resolution. Its camera performance will be worth evaluating in the review.
On the software front, the GT 50 Pro is expected to run Android 16-based XOS 16, compared to Android 15-based XOS 15 on the GT 30 Pro. Infinix has announced three years of OS updates and five years of security patches for the global model, but the update commitment for the Indian variant should be confirmed at launch.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro brings good upgrades over its predecessor in processing power, cooling and battery capacity, while retaining the 144Hz display, charging speeds and dedicated shoulder triggers. The camera resolution has dropped on paper, and the display doesn’t offer a faster refresh rate than before. Its value will ultimately depend on the India price. If Infinix keeps it closer to Rs 35,000, the GT 50 Pro could appeal to gamers looking for built-in controls and improved thermal management. At a price closer to Rs 45,000, competition from POCO and OnePlus will make the decision more difficult. Stay tuned to 91mobiles for the launch price, first impressions and review.
