The Infinix GT 50 Pro combines a Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, a 144Hz AMOLED display and dedicated shoulder triggers. Here’s what the phone and its gaming accessories offer and their pricing in India.

Infinix GT 50 Pro price, specifications

The phone comes in a single 12GB + 256GB configuration and is priced at Rs 69,999, which includes the full gaming accessories bundle. It comes in Abyss Black and Mecha Red colourways.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate with 4,500nits peak brightness, which should deliver smooth visuals and ample brightness even outdoors. The phone also has pressure-sensitive GT Trigger 2.0 shoulder buttons, giving players additional gaming controls without relying on the touchscreen.

Its key feature is HydroFlow liquid cooling, which uses channels on the rear panel to manage heat, alongside a 7,700m2 VC cooling system. The device is the only phone in India to feature a liquid cooling system as of yet. Infinix says the phone supports gameplay at up to 144fps in compatible titles. It also packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 30W wireless charging.

For photography, the GT 50 Pro has a 50MP primary camera with OIS and EIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 13MP front camera. The device operates on XOS 16 out of the box and Infinix has also promised three Android OS updates and five years of security patches.

Infinix GT 50 Pro gaming ecosystem explained

The Infinix GT 50 Pro comes with its own dedicated gaming ecosystem, which includes three accessories designed to improve how users play. The GT NX Controller attaches to the phone for console-style controls and can split into two separate Bluetooth controllers for compatible two-player games, reminiscent of the Nintendo Switch.

The NX Station connects the phone to a compatible TV or monitor, supports output of up to 4K at 60Hz and offers nine types of connectivity, including HDMI, USB ports and wired Ethernet.

The GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 combines 12W thermoelectric cooling with 15W wireless charging. It also supports wireless bypass charging, which helps reduce the stress on the battery during longer gaming sessions. Together, these accessories let users switch between handheld gaming, local multiplayer and big-screen play without needing a separate gaming machine.

Should you buy the Infinix GT 50 Pro?

The Infinix GT 50 Pro could appeal to dedicated mobile gamers, particularly those who play demanding titles or use emulators and want more control over their gaming setup. Its liquid cooling system, shoulder triggers and bundled accessories offer much more than a typical gaming phone, while the controller and TV station extend its use beyond handheld gaming.

The Rs 70,000 price tag, however, makes it a rather significant investment. Buyers are paying for the broader gaming ecosystem as well as the phone itself, so its value depends on how often they will use the accessories.

Gamers on a lower budget may be better served by more affordable devices like the POCO X8 Pro or the OnePlus Nord 6, which offer better processors without the added cost for the gaming accessories. The GT 50 Pro is best suited to gaming enthusiasts who will make full use of its features, so users who want a versatile gaming setup could get more out of the bundle.
