Infinix has announced the launch of a new smartphone from its popular Hot series, the Infinix Hot 70. While only the standard model has been announced for now, the launch also hints at the direction upcoming Hot 70 Pro and Pro+ variants could take in the coming weeks. The Infinix Hot 70 stands out with a new “Thermo Orange” finish that changes shade depending on temperature. Here’s everything else you need to know about the Hot 70.
Infinix Hot 70 colour-changing design
The Infinix Hot 70 in Thermo Orange features a color-changing design that depends on the temperature. When the phone is cool, the rear panel appears in a darker “Quiet Orange” tone, but it gradually shifts to a brighter “Playful Orange” shade as the device warms up. It is a playful gimmick, but one that might help the Hot 70 stand out in a crowded budget segment where most phones look increasingly similar.
Buyers who prefer a non-color-shifting finish can choose from the following options: Green Texture, Quiet Violet, Dive Blue, Silver Dancer, and Night Pulse.

Infinix Hot 70 specifications
On the hardware side, the Hot 70 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset. This is the same processor used in last year’s Infinix Note 50 Pro series, suggesting the company is trying to bring stronger everyday performance to a more affordable price bracket. The chip should be capable enough for routine multitasking, social media usage, and casual gaming.
The phone sports a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1576 pixels. While the smoother refresh rate should help with scrolling and animations, the lower resolution may feel slightly dated compared to some rivals now offering FHD+ displays in the same segment.
The Infinix Hot 70 packs a 6,000mAh battery and 45W wired fast charging support, which should make the phone last more than a day for moderate users. The addition of 10W reverse wired charging also gives it a practical edge, allowing the phone to top up accessories.
For optics, you get a 50MP primary rear camera with an unspecified secondary sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter. The setup appears designed more for social media-ready shots and everyday photography rather than versatile imaging performance. The phone ships with the latest Android 16-based XOS 16 out of the box. Infinix has also included a dedicated hardware shortcut key that users can customise for launching apps or triggering specific features.
Infinix Hot 70 has been launched in Indonesia, but its pricing details aren’t available. It’s expected to arrive in India as well. Overall, the Hot 70 looks like a phone designed around practicality for everyday use. Buyers prioritising battery life, a premium and unique design, and a smooth display may find it appealing. It would still make sense to wait for reviews or compare with rivals before making a buying decision.
