Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro lineup has appeared in a new leaked video just two days before the company’s September 9th launch event. The footage appears to show retail demo units of the iPhone 18 Pro Max in the now popular dark red shade and the iPhone 18 Pro in blue, offering a closer look at two of the colours that have been linked to Apple’s upcoming Pro models.
The video, shared by Korean tipster yeux1122, appears to have been recorded at a retail display. Apple hasn’t confirmed the colours, and the units shown could still be pre-release or demonstration models.
iPhone 18 Pro models colours
The larger phone shown in the footage has a deep burgundy or dark red finish, while the smaller model has a blue rear panel. The leaked colours broadly match recent reports that have pointed to Dark Cherry and Sky Blue for the iPhone 18 Pro range. Dark Cherry is expected to be Apple’s standout colour for this generation, potentially replacing the Cosmic Orange finish introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Earlier reports described the new colour as a blend of burgundy, deep purple and brown tones.
The design itself does not appear to have changed significantly from the iPhone 17 Pro models. The camera layout and overall shape shown in the video look familiar, suggesting that Apple may be relying on new finishes to create differentiation. However, the Dark Cherry has already become a hot favourite in the Android circles ever since news leaked Apple was adopting this finish, much like Cosmic Orange last year.
There is still some uncertainty over the complete colour lineup. Recent leaks have variously mentioned Dark Cherry, Sky Blue, Black and Silver, with different sources disagreeing over whether Black or Silver will be included. An earlier leak showing coloured SIM trays also pointed to Dark Cherry, Sky Blue and Silver.
Beyond colours, the iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to receive Apple’s A20 Pro chipset, a new modem and slightly larger batteries. The main rear camera is also tipped to gain a variable aperture, which could give users greater control over light capture and depth of field. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to be Apple’s most capable conventional iPhone, while the company is also tipped to introduce its first foldable iPhone at the same event. That could make the Pro Max less of a novelty for buyers who want the most familiar flagship design.
Dark Cherry could appeal to buyers wanting something distinctive, while Sky Blue and a possible Silver or Black option would offer more understated alternatives. The iPhone 17 Pro could become the better value option if its price falls after the new models arrive.
