iQOO 15 launching in India today: expected price, specifications, features, where to watch

Price-wise, the iQOO 15 will sit on the top of the company’s portfolio. As iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya told 91mobiles, the iQOO 15 price in India will be between Rs 65,000 and Rs 70,000, making it fall within the same bracket as the OnePlus 15, OPPO Find X9 and Realme GT 8 Pro. As per a recent leaked retailer listing, the prices may be Rs 72,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model and Rs 79,999 for the 16GB + 512GB variant. This is considerably more than the iQOO 13, which started at Rs 54,999 when it launched in India in December last year. While all flagships have increased prices this year, attributing it to rising component costs, this could be the most significant price bump we see.

Pre-bookings for the iQOO 15 are already open. Those who pre-book can get a Priority Pass for Rs 1,000 with a pair of iQOO TWS 1e earbuds and one year extended warranty. The device will go on sale via Amazon and iQOO India e-shop once the launch happens.

Specifications: what to expect

The company has already confirmed that the iQOO 15 will sport a 2K resolution display with a 144Hz refresh rate, just like the Chinese model. The panel is a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED which also supports HDR and the P3 colour gamut, with a 94.37 percent screen-to-body ratio. This could shape up to be one of the better displays in the segment for gamers.

At its core is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s latest chipset. iQOO pairs this with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and a Q3 Supercomputing Chip that handles gaming enhancements, graphics pipelines and AI-based optimisations. The phone will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6, which should offer smoother animations and better system efficiency than previous versions.

The newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 promises higher GPU gains, improved thermal behaviour, and better on-device AI over the iQOO 13. The Q3 Supercomputing Chip should also improve the experience for gaming-focused buyers. Even on the display front, the iQOO 13 had a high-refresh AMOLED panel, but it is the 2K resolution and higher touch sampling that give the iQOO 15 an edge for users who need accuracy and fluidity during intensive gameplay.

The camera system also sees a notable upgrade. While the cameras on the iQOO 13 were competent, the iQOO 15 is expected to arrive with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto with up to 100x digital zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide. A 32MP selfie camera handles front-facing shots. If the tuning remains similar, photography and video performance should see a visible improvement over the previous model.

Another area where the new model pushes ahead is battery life. While the iQOO 13 was good in terms of endurance, the iQOO 15 is expected to ship with a larger 7,000mAh battery, alongside 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. This combination makes it more suited for heavy gaming and long daily use, especially for those that prefer not to charge mid-day. The iQOO 13 had a 6,000mAh-120W battery-charging combination.

If you are an iQOO 13 user, then the iQOO 15 offers upgrades in terms of faster processing, a better display, stronger camera hardware, and improved battery endurance. Whether those upgrades justify a jump will depend on how aggressively iQOO prices the base variant. For buyers entering the segment fresh, the iQOO 15 is shaping up to be a phone aimed at performance-heavy users, especially those who prioritise gaming, fast charging, camera flexibility, and a large battery.
