  • The iQOO 15R is reported to be priced under Rs 55,000 and could be launched in place of the Neo series.

iQOO has begun teasing the iQOO 15R ahead of its India launch on February 24th. After showing the phone earlier in a checkered finish, the brand has now revealed a second colour option called “Dark Knight,” which swaps the flashy look for a plain black, more low-key design. iQOO hasn’t said how many colour options there will be at launch, but it’s evident the phone won’t be limited to just one style.

So far, iQOO has confirmed only a few details. The iQOO 15R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, will run OriginOS 6, and will be priced under Rs 55,000 in India. That immediately places it in the same bracket as phones like the OnePlus 15R and other near-flagship Android models like OPPO’s Reno 15 series.

Most of what we know beyond that comes from leaks. The iQOO 15R is widely expected to be a reworked version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which launched in China recently. A Geekbench listing for a Vivo device believed to be the Indian iQOO 15R was also spotted, showing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 along with Android 16 and 8GB of RAM.

If the Z11 Turbo connection is accurate, the iQOO 15R could be a spec-heavy phone. Expected features include a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Camera hardware could include a 200MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 32MP front camera. The Chinese model also offers things like an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, reverse wired charging, and IP68 and IP69 ratings.

Battery life could be one of the phone’s biggest strengths. The Z11 Turbo packs a 7,600mAh battery with 100W fast charging. If iQOO brings that setup to India, the 15R would easily outpace most rivals in endurance and charging speed, but go head-to-head with its namesake from OnePlus.

The iQOO 15R looks performance-focussed, which has been iQOO’s approach mostly. Pricing will be key, as the OnePlus 15R is a strong rival starting at Rs 47,999. iQOO would be looking at launch offers to sweeten the deal if their 15R’s launch price is closer to the Rs 55,000 mark.
