iQOO 15T launch date confirmed, to debut with Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition and 2K display
After launching the iQOO 15, 15R and then a surprise iQOO 15 Ultra, the company has confirmed the launch date of the next smartphone in its flagship series. After a host of rumours and leaks, the upcoming iQOO 15T will launch in China on May 20th at 7 pm local time (4.30 pm IST). Ahead of the launch, the company has also revealed several key specifications, including the chipset, display, battery, and gaming features.

The iQOO 15T will be the first smartphone globally to ship with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition processor. iQOO says the chip comes with custom low-level tuning alongside its in-house Q3 gaming chip to improve frame stability and reduce power consumption during heavy gaming sessions.

The company claims the phone can sustain near full-frame gameplay in titles like Genshin Impact for up to 30 minutes while keeping power draw below 5W. Gaming phones have traditionally leaned either toward aggressive cooling systems or oversized bodies, but iQOO appears to be trying a more balanced approach here – flagship performance without fully turning the phone into a niche gaming device.
One of the more interesting decisions on the iQOO 15T is the display. The phone features a 6.82-inch 2K “Everest” flat panel with narrow bezels, at a time when several flagship brands have moved back to 1.5K screens to improve efficiency and simplify high-refresh gaming optimisation. That makes the 15T stand out as iQOO is clearly betting that there is still room for a sharper flagship display. The Q3 chip is also expected to support simultaneous 2K resolution and 144Hz frame interpolation during gaming.
Battery capacity is another area where the numbers are large. The phone is expected to pack an 8,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support. For comparison, the iQOO 15 launched in India with a 7,000mAh battery, while the iQOO 15R offered a 7,600mAh unit. Even the iQOO 15 Ultra came with a smaller 7,400mAh battery. Gamera require that sort of endurance, so iQOO is not cutting corners there.
The camera setup, though, is where iQOO is keeping things comparatively simpler. iQOO has confirmed a 200MP primary rear camera paired with a 50MP secondary sensor, alongside a 16MP front camera. The design follows the same visual direction as the iQOO 15 Ultra, including the transparent-inspired square camera module. The phone will launch in Qingyun, Track Edition, and Legend Edition variants.
It is also expected to run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and weigh around 216 grams.
Expected pricing and India availability
iQOO has not announced India launch details yet, but the existing pricing structure gives a rough idea of where the 15T could land. The iQOO 15 launched in India in November 2025 starting at Rs 72,999, offering features such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, triple 50MP rear cameras, wireless charging, and a 2K 144Hz display. Meanwhile, the iQOO 15R arrived earlier this year as a sub-flagship at Rs 44,999 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, a 7,600mAh battery, and a more mainstream feature set.
The iQOO 15T appears to sit somewhere between those two phones, though the newer chipset, larger battery, and gaming-focused display setup could push pricing closer to the standard iQOO 15. But there’s a real doubt whether the phone will even make it to India or not.
Buyers looking at sustained performance, battery endurance, and display quality than ultra-thin designs or elaborate camera systems should keep their eyes on the iQOO 15T.
