iQOO Z11 Turbo teased in China, may launch in India as the iQOO Neo 11

The teaser has been shared by an iQOO executive on Weibo, with the tagline “Battle Sprite.” It gives us a glance at the rear of the smartphone, which comes with a blue finish. It has curved edges, and the iQOO logo is present at the bottom. A small yet interesting thing to note in this teaser is the presence of the antenna lines around the charging slot, which gives an indication that the phone has a metal body. If that turns out to be true, the Z11 Turbo could feel more premium in the hand than the Z10 Turbo.

iQOO has remained tight-lipped about most of the specs, but leaks are spilling details. Tipster Digital Chat Station says the iQOO Z11 Turbo will come equipped with a 6.59-inch display with 1.5K resolution. That is marginally smaller than the 6.78-inch display of the Z10 Turbo, but large enough for regular use such as gaming, videos, and general scrolling. An OLED panel is also expected, which has become standard for phones in this segment.

The iQOO Z11 Turbo is said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor that is an upgrade over the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor offered in the Z10 Turbo. If this is accurate, then it seems that the Z11 Turbo is positioning itself more as a sub-flagship that competes with high-performance phones. For context, the OnePlus 15R(OnePlus Ace 6T in China) recently debuted with this chipset.

Battery life is another area where iQOO seems keen to push boundaries. The current Z10 Turbo already packs a 7,620mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The Z11 Turbo is expected to go even bigger, with reports suggesting a battery capacity above 7,600mAh and possibly close to 8,000mAh, along with support for 100W fast charging. There is also talk of improved durability, with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, compared to the Z10 Turbo’s IP65 rating. All this, if accurate, is shaping it up to be the closest competitor of the OnePlus 15R, which itself boasts a huge battery of 7,400mAh.

The iQOO Z10 Turbo launched in China in April starting at CNY 1,799 (around Rs 23,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The iQOO Z11 Turbo is expected to be priced higher because of its upgraded processors, faster charging system, better build, and the general price rise trend ongoing for smartphones across all segments.

There are also rumours that the phone may arrive in India with a different moniker, perhaps the iQOO Neo 11. In the Indian market, the iQOO Neo line of smartphones usually costs between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000. The iQOO Neo 10, for context, delivered near-flagship specs at an aggressive price, which made it a hit among gamers and power users. This likely path may be taken by the Z11 Turbo, which may attract users wanting good performance and long battery life but not at flagship prices.
