Lumio has launched the Vision 9 (2026) in India, the latest iteration of its flagship Smart TV lineup and follow-up to last year’s well-received Vision 9. The Bengaluru-based brand is positioning the new model as a significant step up in performance, display quality, and audio, in an effort to solve the persistent complaint of slow, lag-heavy TV experiences in the smart TV segment. Additionally, the Vision 7 lineup has also been refreshed with Vision 7 (2026) in 43-inch and 55-inch sizes.

The Lumio Vision 9 (2026) 65-inch variant is priced at Rs 72,999, with an effective price of Rs 64,999 after bank offers and coupons. It goes on sale on April 24 on Amazon India and Flipkart. The 55-inch variant will follow in May 2026, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.

The Vision 7 (2026) is available in 43-inch and 55-inch sizes at Rs 29,999 and Rs 39,999, respectively, and is going on sale on April 24. The key update to the Vision 7 is 64GB of storage, four times more than the previous generation, and a new satellite port that offers access to over 540 free-to-air channels via Free Dish.
All new Lumio Vision TVs come with a two-year comprehensive warranty, backed by a service network of over 300 centres covering more than 19,000 pin codes.

The Vision 9 (2026) is powered by MediaTek’s Pentonic 700 chipset, paired with 3GB of DDR4 RAM and faster storage that Lumio claims delivers twice the performance of comparable TVs. The TV runs Android 14 out of the box. For those unaware, Lumio also rolled out Android 14 to last year’s Vision TVs in February.
The display is a QD MiniLED panel built on Lumio’s EVA (Enhanced VA) technology, with a native contrast ratio of up to 7000:1 and dynamic contrast reaching 1,00,000:1. Peak brightness is rated at 800 nits, with colour coverage exceeding 100% NTSC and up to 82% Rec. 2020. Colour accuracy is rated at Delta E below 1.9. The panel supports native 4K at 144Hz and up to 240Hz at 1080p, with VRR support ranging from 48Hz to 240Hz and an input lag of 9.7ms via ALLM, making it a capable option for console and PC gaming.
HDMI 2.1 with full bandwidth FRL signalling up to 48Gbps is also on board. HDR support includes Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, processed through Lumio’s DOPE 2 picture engine.
Audio is handled by a 50W DGS 2.2 system with a hexa-driver configuration, consisting dual subwoofers, dual full-range drivers, and dual tweeters. Bass frequencies extend down to 38Hz at 70dB, which Lumio claims is twice the bass output of its previous generation. Dolby Atmos support is included.
On the software side, the Vision 9 (2026) runs TLDR 2.0, Lumio’s content discovery platform, which has received 34 new features, including daily-updated Trending Top 10 rankings, curated collections with a unified Lumio Rating, and smart search with filtering by language, genre, and platform.
Lumio also previewed Project Neo, an upcoming software initiative that lets users control their TV through WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram. The idea is to let users forward a reel or type a conversational query, such as “movies where the villain wins,” to a TLDR bot, which then finds where the title is streaming and adds it to a watchlist on the TV. Project Neo is expected to roll out to all Lumio devices later this year.

Our take
Lumio made a strong impression last year with the debut of the Vision 7 and Vision 9 TVs. They were lauded for their snappy performance and impressive picture quality at affordable prices, with a guarantee that they will not slow down anytime soon. The 2026 Vision 9 looks to take things up a notch with a faster chip and QD MiniLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, among other things.
Project Neo is an interesting differentiator. If it delivers on the promise of frictionless content discovery through apps people already use, it could be a genuinely useful feature rather than a marketing gimmick.
If you’re a gamer or power user looking for cutting-edge display tech and performance, the new Vision 9 warrants attention, but casual viewers might find last year’s model still offers great value. We’ll reserve final judgement for our full review.
