Motorola hikes smartphone prices in India: Moto G35, G57 Power, and Edge 60 Fusion more expensive
Motorola has increased the prices of three smartphones in India, effective starting today. The move reflects a broader industry trend driven by rising component costs and supply chain pressures. The move comes at a time when multiple smartphone brands have either adjusted the pricing of older models or increased the prices of newer models to maintain margins.

The Moto G57 Power (review), launched in November 2025, has seen a Rs 1,000 increase and continues to stand out primarily for its massive 7,000mAh battery, which can easily last over two days. Beyond that, it offers a reliable daylight camera, a tall and vibrant display, and smooth everyday performance powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. However, the limited promise of just one major OS update makes it less appealing for long-term users. It’s best suited for buyers who prioritise battery life above everything else and don’t plan to hold on to the device for several years.
Meanwhile, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion (review) has received the steepest hike of Rs 2,000 across all variants, pushing it deeper into a highly competitive mid-range segment. Even so, it remains a well-rounded smartphone with strong multimedia capabilities, dependable battery life, good daylight camera performance, and a clean, near-stock Android experience, all wrapped in a durable design.
That said, the arrival of its successor, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion (review), complicates the decision. The newer model offers upgrades in battery, display, and performance, but comes at a higher starting price of Rs 26,999. For buyers who can stretch their budget, the Edge 70 Fusion is the more future-proof choice, while the Edge 60 Fusion still makes sense if you’re looking to save some money without compromising too much on the overall experience.
