Motorola has started teasing the arrival of a new handset in India, widely believed to be the Edge 70 Fusion. A post has gone out on X with ‘Coming Soon’ text, and Flipkart has also set up a promo page for this upcoming smartphone. Although neither explicitly names the device, the deliberate emphasis on the word “fusion” strongly hints at its identity. Moreover, it is the Motorola smartphone that has been in the thick of leaks and rumours lately.
It is expected to become the second entrant in the Edge 70 series and should sit below the standard Edge 70, introduced in December 2024, in terms of pricing, making it a more accessible option within the line-up. Here’s everything we know about the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion:

Flipkart availability
Like many other Motorola smartphones, the Edge 70 Fusion will also be a Flipkart exclusive. The handset will feature a design similar to the Edge 70 and the flagship Motorola Signature, with a square camera module that has individual rings for the sensors and LED flash. The teaser confirms a triple-camera setup, including a quad-pixel 2μm OIS LYTIA sensor with 12–24mm focal lengths. The handset will also sport a leather finish on the back and will be available in three Pantone-certified colour options: Blue Surf, County Air, and Silhouette.

Interestingly, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion was earlier tipped to arrive in Orient Blue and Sporting Green finishes, though the company has yet to confirm these colour options officially. What is clear, however, is the design direction: the handset appears slim and refined, with gently curved edges that should lend it a comfortable in-hand feel.
Motorola Edge 70 Fusion specifications (expected)
Except for ‘Bold Hues’, ‘Luxurious Finish’, and ‘More power, less weight’, Motorola hasn’t confirmed any specifications of the Edge 70 Fusion yet. The e-commerce platform, Flipkart, will share more details on the smartphone on February 23rd.

While we stay tuned for that, the alleged leaked marketing renders of the Edge 70 Fusion confirm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. This is likely to be paired with 8GB/ 12GB of RAM. Besides the performance improvement over its predecessor, the most notable upgrade on the Edge 70 Fusion could be its battery. Per rumours, the handset could boast a whopping 7,000mAh battery, which is an area where Motorola smartphones have always been lacking. If this pans out, the Edge 70 Fusion might be one of the strongest battery smartphones from the maker.
Furthermore, it is reported that the upcoming Motorola smartphone will feature a 6.78-inch quad curved OLED display with a high 144Hz refresh rate for smooth graphics and animation. The display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The handset is expected to support 68W fast charging, sport a 32MP front camera, and run the latest Android 16 OS with Hello UI out of the box.
The pricing of the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion in India remains undisclosed for now. However, given the broader upward trend in smartphone prices, it may not be as aggressively positioned as its predecessor. For context, the Edge 60 Fusion debuted in India at a starting price of Rs 22,999.
Adding to the speculation, Motorola recently revised the price of the standard Edge 70 from its launch figure of Rs 29,999 to Rs 32,999. Against this backdrop, the Edge 70 Fusion is likely to slot into the sub-Rs 30,000 segment, striking a balance between affordability and the newer Edge 70 series positioning. Irrespective of the price hike, it could be a strong contender for users prioritising battery life and a smooth display, but it’s advisable to wait for official reviews and pricing.
