Motorola appears set to stretch its Edge 70 lineup even further. A new leak from Evan Blass points to three more phones in the works, namely the Edge 70 Pro, Edge 70 Pro+, and an oddly named Edge 70 Pro Lite. The Edge 70 family is already fairly spread out and this takes things even further.
Currently, it includes the standard Edge 70, the Edge 70 Fusion, the Edge 70 Fusion+, and the top-end Motorola Signature, which was earlier expected to launch as the Edge 70 Ultra. The regular Edge 70 arrived in India in December 2025, starting at Rs 29,999, giving Motorola an entry point into the upper mid-range.
Which models are expected to be a part of the Motorola Edge 70 lineup?
If this leak is accurate, Motorola is trying to plug every possible gap between its existing models. The Pro and Pro+ are likely to sit above the Fusion series but below the Signature, while the Pro Lite could slot in as a more affordable version of the Pro. Only one of these has any real detail so far. The Edge 70 Pro has reportedly been certified in Brazil with a 6,500mAh battery and 90W charging. On paper, that’s a strong pitch for anyone who prioritises battery life, especially when compared to phones like the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE or the OnePlus 12R, which balance performance and battery rather than pushing capacity this far.
The Pro+ is still a question mark, though it will likely lean closer to flagship territory with upgrades in performance or cameras. The Pro Lite is the more confusing one. The name suggests a lighter, cheaper Pro, but it’s not clear how it will stand apart from the Fusion models that already are in that space.
Other Android OEMs like Xiaomi and Realme have been doing this for a while, launching multiple versions of the same series to hit slightly different price points. Motorola seems to be leaning into the same approach to target a wide 25,000 to Rs 45,000 segment. The upside is you get more choice. If you care about battery, performance, or price, there’s a better chance one of these fits. The downside is just as obvious. With so many similar-sounding models, figuring out what actually changes from one device to another can get messy. There’s still very little clarity on the Edge 70 Pro+ and Pro Lite, and that will decide how easy this lineup is to understand.
