After a series of teasers and leaks, the OnePlus Ace 6T has finally been announced in China. For now, OnePlus has revealed only the specifications, with pricing still under wraps, and even the chipset hasn’t been officially unveiled. The Ace 6T is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a new flagship chip set to launch in China on November 26th. The phone also packs the largest battery ever seen on a OnePlus device, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The Ace 6T is widely expected to debut in India as the OnePlus 15R on December 17th. While the design confirms it’s the same device, it remains to be seen whether the Indian variant will retain the same specifications.
The OnePlus Ace 6T is a power-packed smartphone offering key specs from the flagship OnePlus 15. Starting with a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate up front, with support for 165fps gaming. The same is available on the OnePlus 15, and the gaming experience has been top-notch. Gaming on the OnePlus Ace 6T seems to have been levelled up, according to OnePlus China president Li Jie Louis’ Weibo posts.
The handset features a new Swift Gaming Engine, which is designed to easily handle ultra-high-frame-rate 165fps gaming. There’s also an all-new Glacier Cooling System on the Ace 6T with top-tier thermal materials in the industry and a maxed-out cooling area, the largest in OnePlus history. Louis says the Ace 6T can handle long hours of gaming with no frame drops or heating issues. This puts some high expectations on the Ace 6T’s gaming performance, something we’re excited to test out.
Another highlight of the Ace 6T is its massive 8,300mAh battery, the largest ever on a OnePlus phone, and one of the few mainstream phones offering it. This is coupled with 100W fast charging support. With this battery capacity, you can expect a two-day use after a full charge. However, it’s not confirmed if the OnePlus 15R will also ship with an 8,300mAh battery in India, as OnePlus tends to make some changes with the variants outside China.

OnePlus Ace 6T also gets an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and four IP ratings up to IP69K, like the flagship 15. In China, the smartphone will be running on the latest ColorOS 16. OnePlus is launching the Ace 6T in “Flash Black,” “Phantom Green,” and “Electric Purple” colours. There’s also a Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka Edition of the Ace 6T. As for what the “T” represents in Ace 6T, Louis says it signifies OnePlus’s inherent performance DNA, unchanged from every previous “T” generation.
Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but the OnePlus Ace 6T would be priced below the 15. In India, the OnePlus R series usually falls below Rs 50,000, but with the brand increasing prices this time, the 15R could also see a hike. Even so, it’s expected to stand out for its performance-focused hardware and premium design. With less than a month to go for the OnePlus 15R India launch, it’s worth waiting for the phone to see what it has to offer, and hold out on buying a premium mid-range handset for now.
