OnePlus Nord CE3 5G vs Realme 11 Pro+ performance comparison: best performing phone under Rs 30,000?

The OnePlus Nord CE3 5G (review) presents itself as a safe and reliable smartphone south of Rs 30,000. However, can it surpass the Realme 11 Pro+ (review), a contender that demands your attention with its premium design, 200MP camera, and more, all within the same price range? To determine this, let’s conduct a quick performance comparison test.

Before we proceed with the test, let’s take a look at the chipsets powering these two smartphones

Geekbench v6

OnePlus Nord CE3 5G vs Realme 11 Pro+ Geekbench test

The Geekbench results show the OnePlus Nord CE 5G outperforming the Realme 11 Pro+ by around 200 and 400 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. This means the OnePlus smartphone should be slightly faster at executing tasks compared Realme 11 Pro+; however, the disparity might not be readily discernible in everyday usage.

AnTuTu v10

The Realme 11 Pro+ returns with a decent score of 5,43,205 points on the AnTuTu v10 test. However, it has been overshadowed by the OnePlus Nord CE 5G, which attains a score of 6,43,348 on the benchmarking app. The major difference is in the smartphone’s GPU performance, where the OnePlus Nord CE3 5G is twice as fast as the Realme 11 Pro+. This should give the Nord CE3 5G an edge over the 11 Pro+ in gaming.

CPU Throttle test

When it comes to sustained load tasks, the Realme 11 Pro+ might perform better than its counterpart. Per the CPU Throttle test, the Realme smartphone can uphold 84 percent of its peak performance under sustained loads, whereas the OnePlus Nord CE 5G can only maintain 76 percent of its peak performance.

Gaming test

I conducted a gaming capabilities test on both the OnePlus Nord CE 5G and the Realme 11 Pro+ using BGMI. Each device ran the game for a continuous 30-minute period, and the game’s settings were maximized to ‘HDR’ graphics and ‘High’ frame rates on both handsets. Impressively, OnePlus and Realme smartphones both handled the game fluidly, showing no indications of lag or stutter whatsoever. The thermal performance of both devices remained stable throughout the test, and I could seamlessly switch to other apps while gaming if needed.

Even with higher GPU scores on AnTuTu, I did not observe any significant difference in gaming performance between the OnePlus Nord CE 5G and the Realme 11 Pro+. However, I would say the OnePlus smartphone was able to load the gaming app marginally faster than the Relame smartphone.

Verdict

Despite rocking last year’s chipset, OnePlus Nord CE3 5G manages to outperform the Realme 11 Pro+ in Geekbench and AnTuTu tests. The Nord CE 5G also displayed faster app-loading times than the Realme 11 Pro+ on specific occasions. The Realme smartphone, on the other hand, has the advantage of performing better under strenuous loads compared to its competitors, per the CPU Throttle test. However, I did not notice any significant difference in performance between the two devices in the real world. Even while gaming, the handsets performed about the same, and overall, the general user should be satisfied with what these phones have to offer in the performance department.
