Realme 11 Pro+ vs Motorola Edge 40 blind camera comparison: stylish phones fighting for supremacy

The recently-announced Realme 11 Pro+ (review) uses a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor, a first for any smartphone in the market. But does it make the phone the best image-capturing handset in its segment? A blind camera test with a rival device could be an interesting way to gauge this. For this purpose, we have chosen the newly-launched Motorola Edge 40, which is priced similarly and features a 50MP sensor.

In the following comparison, you’ll see images shot using the Realme 11 Pro+ and the Motorola Edge 40, but you won’t know which photo is shot using which device. You can vote for the photos you think are the best across different scenes, and after a few weeks, the winners will be declared. Read on, and cast your vote!

Daylight

Here is a sample of daylight images shot in good sunny conditions. You will need to look out for the colours and detailing on the metro station as well as the dynamic range across the sky. Go ahead and choose which photo you like better.

UHD

The full-resolution UHD shots on the Realme 11 Pro+ can be taken at 200MP but there is a 50MP mode as well which puts it at parity with the Edge 40. Check out the snaps and vote for the better photo.

Ultra-wide

While the Realme 11 Pro+ has an 8MP ultra-wide camera, Motorola’s handset offers slightly more resolution on its sensor at 13MP. You might want to check out the field-of-view present on both shots along with sharpness across the frame. Pick the photo you think best represents these factors.

Portrait

The above-shown portrait image of a Bluetooth speaker in the shape of a gramophone is shot at 1X zoom and uses the phone’s computational chops to separate the subject from the background. Which image do you think has done a better job? Choose now.

Selfie

Both phones pack in a 32MP selfie shooter that can output detailed shots. In the comparison shots notice how facial details are processed along with exposure handling in the background.

Low light

Smartphones are constantly being improved in their capability of clicking low light snaps. The above photo is from the roof of a seven-story building looking over roads and other infrastructure. Which photo gets in the best details, shadows, and colours? Vote your choice.

Night mode shot

The dedicated Night mode can help with additional details and exposure metering in areas with less-than-ideal lighting. Look for the detailing across the buildings, roads, and trees. Vote which snap is to your liking.

That’s it for the blind camera comparison between the Realme 11 Pro+ and the Moto Edge 40. We will keep the polls open for a few days so make sure to get your votes in! We will declare the winner of the blind camera test so stay tuned to our blog for more updates on the same.
