Shortly after teasing a new tablet in India, OnePlus has now officially revealed the product’s name and launch. As predicted earlier, it is indeed the OnePlus Pad 4, which will be the brand’s flagship tablet. The OnePlus Tab 4 is set to debut in India on April 30th. In addition to the launch date announcement, OnePlus has also revealed the design of the Tab 4. The new tablet will succeed last year’s OnePlus Pad 3.
OnePlus Pad 4 India launch details
OnePlus Pad 4 is scheduled to debut in India on April 30th. The launch timeline is early compared to the Pad 3, which arrived in September last year, but OnePlus has already moved its launches early this year. For instance, the OnePlus Nord 6 arrived earlier than expected this year, hinting at a more aggressive product cycle.
The launch date teaser includes an image of the OnePlus Pad 4. The image shows the tablet in a dark brown colour, with a pill-shaped camera module on the top-left corner of the phone. The tablet appears to be quite slim, judging by the teaser, and also very large in terms of display size.

This teaser image also reaffirms our speculation that the OnePlus Pad 4 might be a rebrand of the upcoming OPPO Pad 5 Pro. This is based on the design, where the camera module design and three-pin connector alignment strongly resemble the OPPO Pad 5 Pro, which is set to launch in China on April 21st. The colour is also similar to that of OPPO, which is launching the Pad 5 Pro in a Mocha Brown variant along with Dawn Gold and Monet Purple.
OnePlus Pad 4 specifications
OnePlus Pad 4 is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship chipset, ensuring top-end performance from the Android tablet. OnePlus also claims an AnTuTu score of over 4.1 million. It will be available with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The tablet is also confirmed to house a massive 13,380 mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC charging support. With this battery capacity, the OnePlus Pad 4 should be able to last over a day.
Up front is a large 13.2-inch 3.4K immersive display with a 144Hz refresh rate. This would make for a large and bright display, suitable for content consumption, productivity, and even gaming. The tablet will launch with a new OnePlus Stylo Pro, designed for more precise writing and sketching. It also comes with a smart keyboard.
Based on these confirmed specs, it more or less confirms that the OnePlus Pad 4 is indeed a rebrand of the OPPO Pad 5 Pro. This isn’t necessarily bad and only reflects the brand’s strategy for how it offers tablets in different markets.
In comparison to its predecessor, the OnePlus Pad 4 will offer a faster chipset and a bigger battery than the Pad 3. The rest of the specifications may remain largely the same. It’s still an LCD screen on the OnePlus Pad 4, which puts it slightly behind flagship tablets like Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 series. But OnePlus also offers its flagship tablet at around half the price, so there’s that.
OnePlus Pad 4 is expected to follow a similar strategy to its predecessor, where it offers a premium experience at a more reasonable price. This would make the OnePlus Pad 4 ideal for people who want a flagship Android tablet with a large display, reliable battery life, and flagship performance. However, final judgment should be reserved until official specs, pricing, and reviews are available.
