OnePlus’ new gaming flagship OnePlus Turbo reportedly spotted on Geekbench, revealing chipset

OnePlus appears to be getting closer to launching its gaming-focussed Turbo series, with a new phone from the lineup reportedly surfacing on Geekbench. The listing offers an early look at what could be one of the brand’s new line of gaming smartphones. OnePlus has already confirmed that it is working on an all-new Turbo lineup, although official specifications are still under wraps.

Tipster Anvin has shared details of a OnePlus phone with the model number PLU110. According to the Geekbench listing, the phone is powered by an octa-core chipset that is believed to be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The CPU layout includes one prime core clocked at 3.21GHz, three performance cores, and four efficiency cores, paired with an Adreno 825 GPU. While this chip sits just below full-blown flagship processors, it is still firmly in the high-performance category. The data shows 14.81GB of RAM, which points to a 16GB RAM variant at launch. The phone appears to be running Android 16, suggesting it will ship with the latest version of Google’s operating system out of the box.

OnePlus had earlier teased the Turbo series during its 12th anniversary event, and the company’s China President, Li Jie Louis, later confirmed on Weibo that the lineup would be gaming-focussed. Past leaks suggest the phone could feature a 6.78-inch LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz or even 165Hz. Those specs put it squarely in the same space as phones like the iQOO Neo series and Redmi’s K-series devices, both of which have built a following among mobile gamers. They are also on par with the OnePlus 15 and 15R, which launched as the brand’s top-tier phones globally.

Battery life could be another major talking point. The OnePlus Turbo is rumoured to pack a massive 9,000mAh battery, which would be far larger than what most flagship phones currently offer. For users who spend long hours gaming or streaming, this could be a key differentiator.

Reports suggest that OnePlus may launch two Turbo models in China initially. While the PLU110 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a second model could feature the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, with both phones likely sharing the same display and battery setup.

From a buying perspective, the Turbo series seems aimed at users who want near-flagship performance, long battery life, and fast displays without paying flagship prices. If OnePlus gets the pricing right, it could emerge as a strong alternative to performance-focused offerings from Xiaomi and iQOO.
