OPPO has launched its latest foldable smartphone, the Find N6. It’s a book-style foldable with a very thin design, measuring 8.93mm. The OPPO Find N6 also boasts the largest battery ever on a foldable, Hasselblad cameras, and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. OPPO has launched the Find N6 in China for now, with global availability expected to be announced soon.
With the Find N6, OPPO has used new materials to fix one of the biggest issues on a foldable — the crease. The Find N6 is equipped with a 2nd-Generation Titanium Flexion Hinge, which has been made using 3D Liquid Printing and Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass. OPPO says that this material helps reduce the hinge height and also prevents long-term display deformation. Based on the official images, the crease is hardly visible on the Find N6, which should not only make the display look good but also add to the overall experience of using the foldable.
Speaking of displays, it’s an 8.12-inch QXGA+ main screen and a 6.62-inch FHD+ cover screen on the OPPO Find N6. Both screens are AMOLED, have an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz, and a high brightness mode of 1,200 nits. The Find N6 is also said to have achieved TÜV Rheinland certifications for up to one million fold cycles.
The foldable weighs 225g and measures 8.93mm, which is the same as the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s thickness. It also comes with IP56, IP58, and IP59 ratings for water and dust resistance. OPPO has released the Find N6 in Deep Black (China Only), Stellar Titanium, and Blossom Orange colours.
There’s a total of five cameras on the OPPO Find N6: 50MP ultra-wide, 200MP primary, 50MP telephoto, and 2MP monochrome. Both the inner and cover displays have 20MP cameras. The telephoto lens is capable of 3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom along with tele-macro support.
Under the hood of the phone runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, the flagship chipset from Qualcomm. One can expect top-end performance from this foldable. It also packs a 6,000mAh battery, the largest on a foldable yet. This is paired with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support. With this battery capacity, the foldable should comfortably last for an entire day and more.
The foldable runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 with dedicated features for the foldable. These include Free-Flow Window, which is a multitasking interface to run, resize, and adjust the aspect ratios of up to four apps simultaneously. It comes with an AI-powered dual-screen translation capability and split-screen document translation. The foldable comes with an OPPO AI Pen with features such as AI Chart to convert handwritten notes to digital tables, and AI Image to turn sketches into digital art.
OPPO has launched the Find N6 at a starting price of CNY 9,999 (Rs 1,34,200 approx) in China. It’s going on sale on March 20th. Global launch details are yet to be announced but we expect them to be revealed soon. There aren’t many foldable options in the market, but the OPPO Find N6 makes its mark by offering top-end hardware and a crease-free design. Anyone looking to purchase a new foldable may want to consider the Find N6. Even for buyers outside China, the Find N6 seems like it will be worth waiting for.
