OPPO Find X9 to reportedly get costlier in India by Rs. 10,000: here’s how much it will cost

Highlights
  • OPPO Find X9 launched at a starting price of RS 74,999.
  • It is getting expensive by Rs 10,000.
  • The new prices will reportedly be updated soon.

OPPO is reportedly increasing the price of its flagship Find X9 smartphone in India, a move that was expected sooner or later. The smartphone launched in India last November at a starting price of Rs 74,999, which is now being increased to Rs 84,999, a price hike of Rs 10,000. OPPO has yet to officially update its website, but the move doesn’t seem surprising as the recently launched Find X9s is costlier than the Find X9.

OPPO Find X9 price hike details

According to tipster Sanju on X, retailers reportedly received a price revision notice earlier this morning, although the updated pricing is yet to be reflected on OPPO’s official website at the time of writing. The price hike is substantial across both storage variants. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model has reportedly gone up from Rs 74,999 to Rs 84,999, while the top-end 16GB + 512GB variant is now said to cost Rs 94,999 instead of its earlier Rs 84,999 asking price. Interestingly, major retail platforms such as Reliance Digital have already started reflecting the revised pricing online, adding credibility to the leak.

The reported increase comes at a time when smartphone brands are facing rising component and memory costs globally. The sharp jump in the Find X9’s price hike especially suggests memory pricing may have played a key role in OPPO’s decision. What makes the situation more unusual is that the Find X9 is already difficult to purchase in India. The phone has largely gone out of stock across several online platforms, with the 16GB RAM version proving particularly hard to find. That could mean OPPO is either dealing with limited inventory allocations for India or preparing to gradually phase focus toward newer additions in the lineup.

OPPO recently launched the Find X9s in India, and at a higher starting price than the Find X9, despite the former offering better hardware. The price hike would make sense now, at least in terms of hierarchy. The Find X9 12GB variant is still available at its original price through OPPO’s online store. So, those interested may want to grab it before the new price goes live. The Find X9 is still one of the most well-balanced flagships in the market, offering versatile Hasselblad cameras, a large 7,000mAh battery, fast performance, and a comfortably sized 6.59-inch screen.
