OPPO has a big launch coming up on April 21st in China. It’s launching the OPPO Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s Pro, along with other products, including Pad 5 Pro and Watch X3 Mini. The Find X9 Ultra will be making its global debut on the same day, marking the first Ultra model to launch outside of China. Ahead of its launch, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra has now been spotted on Geekbench, giving us an early look at its performance capabilities, while fresh leaks also shed light on its ambitious camera system and design.
OPPO Find X9 Ultra Geekbench listing
The Geekbench appearance suggests that the Find X9 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with the Adreno 840 GPU. The tested unit packs 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 16 out of the box. In terms of raw numbers, the device scores 3,584 single-core and 10,812 multi-core. These figures place it firmly in the flagship territory. While benchmark scores don’t always translate directly to real-world performance, they do suggest faster app launches, improved multitasking, and stronger AI processing on the Find X9 Ultra.

OPPO Find X9 Ultra camera design leaked

Alongside performance, OPPO seems to be making a strong visual statement with the Find X9 Ultra. Leaked renders from Weibo reveal a large circular camera module, but with a distinctive hexagonal layout inside to house the sensors, an unusual approach that sets it apart from conventional round modules.

The back panel appears equally premium, featuring a leather-like textured finish with a dual-tone split near the bottom, enhancing both grip and aesthetics. The top section houses an LED flash alongside Hasselblad branding, reinforcing OPPO’s continued focus on imaging.
OPPO Find X9 Ultra specifications (expected)
The Find X9 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most camera-focused phones of the year. The reported camera setup includes: 200MP Sony LYT-901 primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide camera, 200MP OmniVision OV52A (3x optical zoom), 50MP Samsung JN5 (10x optical zoom), 3.2MP multispectral sensor for improved color accuracy.
This combination suggests OPPO is aiming to dominate across focal lengths, from ultra-wide to long-range zoom, while also improving color science through the multispectral sensor. Compared to current flagships, the dual periscope setup could give it a clear edge in zoom versatility.
The Find X9 Ultra is also tipped to pack a massive 7,050mAh battery, which means it’s not cutting corners on other areas either. This could be paired with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. On the front, the device is tipped to feature a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, which makes it a flagship screen for not just entertainment but gaming as well.
Based on current leaks, the Find X9 Ultra is shaping up to be a no-compromise flagship—targeting users who prioritise camera performance, battery life, and cutting-edge hardware. If you’re someone who wants DSLR-like zoom versatility on a smartphone, needs long battery life without sacrificing performance, and values premium design, this could be one of the most compelling launches to watch this year. That said, pricing will ultimately determine its competitiveness, especially in markets like India, where brands like Samsung, Vivo, and Xiaomi are aggressively pushing their own ultra-flagships.
