OPPO has been steadily pushing the boundaries of smartphone photography over the past few years, especially through its flagship Find X series. With advanced camera hardware and its collaboration with Hasselblad, the brand has positioned its flagship models as some of the most photography-focused smartphones on the market. Now, the upcoming OPPO Find X9 Ultra is rumored to take that focus even further, and it’s also the first Ultra model in the Find X lineup to launch globally.

OPPO has teased the Find X9 Ultra as a smartphone “Built to Be Your Next Camera.” The handset has been designed to deliver professional-grade imaging performance in a flagship smartphone form factor, according to OPPO. While we’re yet to know the Find X9 Ultra’s specs, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared new details about the phone’s camera hardware along with information about a special “Master Kit version.”

This version is expected to be the highest-end configuration of the phone, offering 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The Master Kit model is also said to feature an exclusive design and a bundled teleconverter kit that had surfaced in earlier leaks.

According to the latest leak, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra could feature a quad-camera setup headlined by a 200MP main camera with a large 1/1.12-inch sensor. Previous reports suggest that this sensor could be Sony’s Lytia 901, which was introduced in late 2025 and is designed to deliver improved dynamic range and better low-light performance compared to typical smartphone sensors.

The primary camera is expected to be joined by another 200MP sensor in a periscope telephoto setup. This module is rumored to use OmniVision’s OV52A sensor with a 1/1.28-inch size and provide optical zoom capabilities. Alongside these high-resolution sensors, the device may include a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 10x telephoto camera. Both of these sensors are expected to use Samsung’s JN5 sensor, which has been used in several flagship camera systems. The phone is also tipped to include a dedicated 3.2MP Danxia multi-spectral sensor designed to improve colour accuracy.

On the front, the Find X9 Ultra could feature a 50MP selfie camera, while the display is rumored to measure 6.82 inches with a 2K resolution. This would place the device firmly in the large flagship category, similar to other Ultra models in the market.

If these specifications prove accurate, the Find X9 Ultra would follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra, which was widely regarded as one of the best camera phones of 2025. The new model appears to build on that reputation with even higher resolution sensors and multiple zoom options aimed at photography enthusiasts.

The Find X9 Ultra could be one of the most interesting releases of the year globally. The availability of a Master Kit version with a teleconverter accessory could also appeal to photography enthusiasts who want additional flexibility from their phone cameras. It would compete with the recently launched Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which also comes with a dedicated camera kit. Then there’s the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra, slated to debut globally soon.

Based on the specs alone, the Find X9 Ultra will be a no-brainer for a camera flagship. But it would still be wise to compare it with the other Ultra models, especially in terms of pricing and features.
