The upcoming Philips smartphone is likely to offer an HD display with 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, it will have a 64MP primary camera on the rear and a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

The phone will also be available with 6GB or 8GB RAM, paired with 128GB or 256GB storage. It will support 5G connectivity, which could give it an advantage in the budget segment, particularly as several phones around this price point continue to rely on 4G hardware.

Other confirmed details on the Amazon microsite include dual stereo speakers, which Philips markets under its “Ultra Max” branding, along with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. The company is promoting the phone under its “Innovation You Can Trust” tagline, although its name and pricing are still to be revealed.

Based on the specifications revealed so far, the phone is expected to be positioned below Rs 20,000 in India. Its final price will be particularly important, given the competition from brands that already have established products in this segment.
