Highlights
  • POCO F9 Pro Philippines pricing has reportedly leaked and will cost PHP 49,999, or around Rs 76,700.
  • The POCO F9 Ultra is reportedly priced at PHP 89,999, nearly twice the price of the F9 Pro.
  • Both phones are set to launch globally on September 1 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-series chipsets.

POCO’s upcoming F9 series could be shaping up to cover a fairly wide price range, with the latest leak giving us an initial idea of where the phones could be positioned. The POCO F9 Pro’s Philippines pricing, alongside the higher-end F9 Ultra, gives Indian buyers a useful reference point ahead of their expected launch here. The series is set to launch globally on September 1.

POCO F9 Pro Philippines pricing revealed

According to an X post by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the POCO F9 Pro with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could cost PHP 49,999, which converts to roughly Rs 76,700. The F9 Ultra, meanwhile, is reportedly priced at PHP 89,999, or around Rs 1.38 lakh, making it almost twice as expensive.

These prices should only be treated as a reference for now, as there can be significant differences between markets based on taxes and region-specific pricing. Still, the leak gives us a useful indication of how POCO could position the two models.

The F9 Ultra’s reported pricing is something to pay attention to if proven true. At around Rs 1.38 lakh based on the Philippines leak, it moves POCO into a price segment where it will have to compete with established flagship brands. That is quite a departure from POCO’s traditional value-focused positioning and could prove challenging to justify if premium hardware is enough to warrant such a significant price jump.

POCO F9 Pro, F9 Ultra specifications and features

POCO has already confirmed that both phones will use Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipsets. The F9 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the F9 Pro gets the slightly trimmed Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V. POCO claims the F9 Ultra can achieve an impressive 41,651,08 AnTuTu score, putting it in the same performance territory as some of the most powerful Android flagships.

Both phones are also expected to feature triple rear cameras with dedicated telephoto lenses, along with Bose-tuned speakers. The F9 Ultra targets multimedia users, with reports suggesting it could feature a dedicated rear subwoofer alongside its stereo speakers. The phones are also expected to have capable cooling systems, which should help maintain performance during extended gaming sessions.

The F9 Pro and F9 Ultra are believed to be global versions of the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, respectively, which launched in China earlier this month. POCO has yet to confirm whether the two models will make their way to India, though the latest pricing leak gives us another indication of how expensive they could be if they do.

Given the ongoing memory price inflation and the fact that POCO’s recent models have already seen price increases, buyers shouldn’t expect the F9 series to follow the aggressive pricing associated with some of the brand’s older flagship phones.
