According to leaked details, the upcoming POCO X8 Pro series will include the POCO X8 Pro and the newly introduced POCO X8 Pro Max, with the latter expected to sit at the top of the lineup.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav has now leaked the entire spec sheet of the POCO X8 Pro series. Here’s what to expect from the upcoming phones. It’s also speculated that both phones are based on the Redmi Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max from China, but with some changes in specs.
POCO X8 Pro Max
The POCO X8 Pro Max is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K TCL M10 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,000 nits high-brightness mode, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. Under the hood, the device is said to run MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500s processor, paired with the Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU. Battery capacity could be one of the headline features. The Pro Max is rumored to pack a massive 8,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 27W reverse charging support. Combined with a flagship chipset, this setup could be a decisive advantage for heavy users. The device is also tipped to feature IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, dual stereo speakers, and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Camera hardware appears practical rather than experimental, with a 50MP Light Hunter 600 main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP selfie camera. This suggests the phone is more focused on performance and endurance, while still offering a decent camera setup.
POCO X8 Pro
The standard POCO X8 Pro appears slightly more compact, with a 6.59-inch 1.5K TCL M10 OLED display, also offering a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,000 nits HBM, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. It is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor with a Mali-G720 MC8 GPU. While not as powerful as the 9500s, this chipset would likely still cater comfortably to gamers and multitaskers in the upper mid-range segment. Like the Pro Max, it’s tipped to use LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fast data and app loading speeds.
Battery capacity is rumored at 6,500mAh, which is large enough but may still fall short among the popular 7,000mAh phones. The inclusion of 100W charging and 27W reverse charging still keeps it competitive enough. The X8 Pro is also expected to offer IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings, a metal frame, NFC, IR blaster, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. However, it may feature an optical in-display fingerprint scanner instead of the ultrasonic unit found on the Pro Max.
Camera setup here includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and the same 20MP front camera. This is a similar camera setup to the Pro Max variant.
Both models are tipped to ship with Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box. If POCO offers long-term software support, it would be an added advantage for users looking for longevity.

Since the POCO X7 Pro launched in India, the X8 Pro series is expected to arrive here as well. If they do, then pricing will ultimately determine how disruptive these devices become. Heavy gamers or someone who frequently travels and values extreme battery life, might want to consider the Pro Max. If you prefer a slightly lighter device that still delivers strong all-round performance and fast charging, the X8 Pro could be the more practical pick.
