Realme has launched the Narzo 80 Lite 4G in India, priced from Rs 7,299. It’s a rebadged version of the Realme C71 4G, but while the C71 targets Flipkart, the Narzo 80 Lite will be available through Amazon. By launching similar phones across platforms, Realme is expanding its reach without altering its core offering. Like the C71, the new phone’s key draw is a large 6,300mAh battery in a slim 7.94mm body, a rare combination at this price point. With the Narzo 80 Lite, the brand is targeting first-time buyers or people upgrading from feature phones who are looking for solid battery life, a slim design, and don’t necessarily need 5G.
Speaking of price, the Realme Narzo 80 Lite’s 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model starts at Rs 7,299, and the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs 8,299. However, for a limited time, you can avail an Amazon coupon worth Rs 700, which you’ll find on the landing page, effectively bringing the price down to Rs 6,599 and Rs 7,599, respectively. The phone’s available via Amazon and the Realme website in Obsidian Black and Beach Gold colours.
At around the higher variant’s price, you can get 5G phones like POCO C75 (with 4nm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2), Lava Storm Lite (6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6400), and Lava Shark 5G (6nm Unisoc T765). These chips are not only more powerful but also more power-efficient.
However, at Rs 6,599, the phone can appear as a great deal for users who want a slim 4G phone with a massive battery. Even the underlying Unisoc T7250 chip (12nm) should be fine for most everyday tasks.
At launch, Realme said the Narzo 80 Lite’s 6,300mAh battery “delivers up to two days of uninterrupted usage”. The company spokesperson also highlighted the phone’s “bold design.” It has an IP54 dust and water resistance rating and military-grade shock resistance.
On the back, there is a Pulse Light with five customisable glowing modes. This is housed next to the phone’s 13MP primary camera. As for selfies, you get a 5MP camera, situated within a waterdrop notch.
The screen measures 6.67 inches diagonally, featuring HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 450 nits (typ) / 563 nits (HBM) brightness. It is an IPS LCD panel, which is typical for phones under Rs 10,000.
Among other features, the phone also boasts a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 15W wired charging speed, expandable memory of up to 2TB via a microSD card, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, bottom-facing speakers, and Dual 4G VoLTE support.
If you’re on a tight budget and don’t prioritise 5G, the Narzo 80 Lite 4G appears to offer excellent battery life and a sleek design at a competitive price. It could also be suitable for those who want a secondary phone and don’t prioritise 5G.
