Redmi Note 15 Pro’s India launch could be nearing, device spotted on Geekbench
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G looks like it’s getting ready to make its way to India, and it might be sooner than many expected. The phone has popped up on the Geekbench database, which means Redmi could be running the final rounds of testing before launch. This comes right after the company introduced the standard Redmi Note 15 5G in India, where people expected the Pro variants to be teased, but now we finally have a lead.
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the listing with model number 25080RABDI belongs to the Indian variant of the Note 15 Pro 5G. The benchmark reveals that the phone runs on Android 15, packs 8GB of RAM, and uses an octa-core processor with a top clock speed of 2.6GHz. In the tests, it scored 1,051 points in single-core and 2,938 in multi-core, which puts it in the upper mid-range tier. If leaks are accurate, the Indian model will run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 chip paired with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. On the software side, it’s expected to ship with HyperOS 2, built on top of Android 15.
Globally, Redmi launched the Note 15 series back in December 2025, which included the Note 15 5G, the Note 15 Pro 5G, and the top-end Note 15 Pro+ 5G. In Poland where the Pros are official, the Pro starts at PLN 1,699 (around Rs 42,000) for the 8GB + 256GB model. The phone features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,200 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection — good figures for a phone that takes its display seriously.
The Note 15 Pro 5G has a 200MP main camera with OIS, joined by an 8MP ultra-wide. On the front, there’s a 20MP selfie camera for video calls and social media shots. Redmi has continued to focus on eye-catching specs that are easy to understand and compare, like a 200MP camera, a large AMOLED display, and a big battery. Redmi has relied on this strategy in the Note series. The Note 15 Pro is a direct rival to the Realme 16 Pro, which also packs a 200MP OIS main camera and the same 8MP ultra-wide lens. Where Realme pulls ahead slightly is the front camera — it’s a bit sharper, which selfie lovers might notice. But those chasing advanced camera hardware like a telephoto lens will still need to move up to higher-end models.
Battery life looks promising. The Note 15 Pro 5G comes with a 6,580mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. Some rivals can charge faster, but optimisation would greatly matter here.
If Redmi gets the pricing right, the Note 15 Pro 5G could be a tempting option. It ticks a lot of boxes — a big and bright AMOLED display, a high-resolution main camera, and strong battery life — making it a familiar, refined package. Buyers who prefer faster charging or top-tier performance might find themselves leaning towards phones from iQOO’s Neo series. If the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is priced sensibly, it could be a good option for users who want long battery life, a large and bright display, and a high-resolution main camera without stepping into flagship territory. It makes sense to wait for the official India pricing and compare launch offers before making a call.
