After unveiling the Redmi M100, powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, in August, the company has one-upped the smartphone by releasing the Redmi M100 Pro. Beyond the upgraded processor, the M100 Pro features better camera hardware for clearer, more authentic results, along with a curved AMOLED display that adds premiumness and a vibrant viewing experience. The Redmi M100 Pro starts at CNY 2,499 in China, with no hints of an India launch.

Redmi M100 Pro pricing, colour variants
The Redmi M100 Pro comes in a single storage option with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at CNY 2,499 (approx. Rs 35,000). The colourways include Midnight Black, Mirror Porcelain White, Phantom Blue and Twilight Purple.
Per Xiaomi’s China online store, the Redmi M100 Pro is slated to be ‘coming soon’.
Redmi M100 Pro specifications and features
The device is equipped with a 6.67-inch 1.5K LTPS 3D curved OLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and peaks at 3,000 nits brightness. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability. Speaking of which, the Redmi M100 Pro is IP68 certified for safeguarding against water and dust, making it suitable for various terrains.
Measuring just 8.24mm thick and weighing 190g, the M100 Pro looks sleek, which should appeal to those who don’t want added bulk in their pockets. Under the hood, the Redmi M100 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, paired with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Having previously tested several smartphones with the chipset, it should suffice for most medium use cases, such as multitasking between apps and playing games at less-intensive graphical settings.

For photography, the rear camera setup includes a 50MP 1/2-inch LYT600 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. An OV20B 20MP sensor handles selfie duties on the front. Compared with the Redmi M100’s 13MP primary camera, the M100 Pro should produce more detailed images in most lighting conditions.
The Redmi M100 Pro runs on a 5,500mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. The handset ships with Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box, which may deter those seeking the latest Android version, i.e., Android 17 with HyperOS 4.
Additional features include an infrared blaster, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.
Is the Redmi M100 Pro worth a look?
While the Redmi M100 Pro’s specifications look solid for a midranger, the 5,500mAh battery may seem insufficient to some, since most smartphones now ship with over 7,000mAh cells across price ranges. On the plus side, this keeps the phone lightweight and slim, making it easy to carry and hold for long periods.
Potential buyers in China seeking a more powerful handset can look at the Redmi Turbo 5, which costs slightly more at CNY 2,599 (approx. Rs 37,000) and delivers a significantly superior Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, a more compact 6.59-inch display, and a larger 7,540mAh battery.
