As Redmi gears up to launch the Redmi 15A in India today, it’s also teasing another upcoming smartphone, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G. This ‘Special Edition’ of the Redmi Note 15 is scheduled to launch in India on April 2nd. It will succeed last year’s Redmi Note 14 SE, and is expected to be priced lower than the Redmi Note 15 series. Ahead of the official debut, the Redmi Note 15 SE’s complete design and ‘Crimson Reserve’ colour variant have been revealed.
The overall design is similar to the Redmi Note 15 lineup with the large squircle camera module at the back. The Crimson Reserve colour is a deep and vibrant red colour with a gold frame around the phone and on the camera island as well. This shade gives the Redmi Note 15 SE a premium and classy look and might appeal to those who prefer this kind of aesthetic. This colour variant also has a vegan leather finish and measures 7.35mm. It will come with a curved display as well.

Redmi Note 15 starts at Rs 22,999, and this variant gets you 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Redmi Note 15 SE could be priced lower, possibly under Rs 20,000, and with 6GB of RAM. This would help Redmi cater to a different price segment with its Note series, which is its most popular offering.
If this is the case, then the Redmi Note 15 SE can be considered by those who are on a slightly lower budget, but might have to settle for less RAM and no charger. If these things are a concern, then the Redmi Note 15 would be the better pick.
