Samsung confirms February 25th Unpacked event for Galaxy S26 series

The Galaxy S26 is rumoured to feature a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Armor 2 protection, running Android 16 with One UI 8.5 on Samsung’s new 2nm Exynos 2600 processor. The camera setup seems unchanged from the S25 — a 50MP main sensor, 10MP telephoto, and 12MP ultrawide lens. The battery could get a small bump to 4,300mAh, keeping 25W charging.

The Galaxy S26+ seems to follow the same path. It has the same camera setup, same Exynos chipset, but with a 6.7-inch QHD+ display and a 4,900mAh battery supporting 45W charging.

The S26 Ultra is said to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The camera setup reportedly keeps the 200MP main and dual telephoto sensors but adds a new 50MP ultrawide. Meanwhile, charging could climb to 60W, while the 5,000mAh battery stays the same.

In the US, Samsung is offering a USD 30 credit for early reservations and a shot at a USD 5,000 voucher. India has a similar pre-order offer. You can reserve the phones for Rs 999 and be eligible for a voucher worth Rs 2,699 that can be used for purchasing other devices on the Samsung e-store. There is also a chance to win a voucher worth Rs 5,000 without paying the Rs 999, but you can’t use that to purchase the S26 series. The last day for pre-orders is February 24th.

This year’s Galaxy S lineup builds on the outgoing S25 series, focussing on AI and efficiency improvements rather than design or spec overhauls. The regular S26 and S26+ seem built for users who want the latest One UI and Galaxy AI without any surprises while the Ultra could stand out for its upgraded chip and camera tweaks. Users upgrading from the S25 series could wait for launch offers while older gen users may find value in newer AI features that Galaxy AI is expected to bring. However, the final pricing and reveal will decide whether the purported hike is justified or not.
