Samsung has expanded its budget smartphone lineup by launching the Galaxy A07s in select global markets. The new model is currently available in Jordan and brings a 90Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery, and Samsung’s promise of six generations of OS upgrades to the entry-level segment. An India launch is expected too, as the Galaxy A07s recently appeared on Samsung India’s official website.

The Galaxy A07s is priced at JOD 119 (around Rs 16,000) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, while the 4GB + 128GB model costs JOD 149 (around Rs 20,000). It is offered in Black, Green, and Light Violet.

The Galaxy A07s features a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. While the resolution and refresh rate may seem modest for a screen of this size, it’s quite standard for budget phones. The handset also has an IP54 rating for basic dust and splash resistance.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A07s runs on the MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. Storage can be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card. The phone runs Android 16-based One UI and is promised six OS upgrades, giving it a longer software runway than many budget alternatives. Most budget phones offer 2 OS upgrades or 3 at the most.

The Galaxy A07s’ biggest strengths are its software support, large display and expandable storage. If these are your priorities, then the Galaxy A07 could be a good purchase. It would also be a notable upgrade for those who want a budget Samsung phone with long-term software support. However, those prioritising higher-resolution displays, faster charging or stronger performance may find better value in competing budget phones.
