Samsung appears to be preparing another addition to its budget Galaxy A07 lineup in India. The Galaxy A07s support page has surfaced on Samsung’s official India website with model number SM-A077F/DS, suggesting that the company could be getting the phone ready for a local launch. The support page currently lists the model but doesn’t reveal any specifications.
The appearance follows an earlier firmware leak that pointed to the same model. However, Samsung hasn’t announced the Galaxy A07s or confirmed its launch date yet.
What we know about the Galaxy A07s
The Galaxy A07s is expected to sit above the existing Galaxy A07 4G, although the extent of the upgrades remains unclear. An earlier firmware listing carried the version A077FXXU0AZG1 and suggested 4G connectivity, based on Samsung’s model-number conventions. The firmware leak also pointed to the possibility of the phone launching with One UI 9.0 based on Android 17. That would be notable for a budget phone, but it should be treated as an unconfirmed detail until Samsung announces the device.
The ‘s’ suffix has historically been used by Samsung for updated or slightly revised versions of its entry-level Galaxy A phones. These models can bring changes to the processor, display, memory or other hardware rather than representing a completely new generation. There is no reliable information yet on what Samsung will change on the A07s.
The existing Galaxy A07 4G has a 6.7-inch 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, 5,000mAh battery and 50MP main camera. Samsung also promises six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, which is pretty long for this price segment.
Price and availability
Samsung launched the Galaxy A07 4G in India at Rs 8,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, although the same configuration is currently listed on Samsung’s website at Rs 13,499. The Galaxy A07 5G arrived later, with a starting price of Rs 15,999 for 4GB + 128GB, and is now available starting at Rs 18,499.
That leaves the Galaxy A07s in the middle. If Samsung positions it too close to the A07 5G, buyers may simply have more reason to choose the 5G model, while a modest price premium over the A07 4G could make sense if the ‘s’ brings decent hardware upgrades. Buyers who are considering a Samsung phone for the long software support around the Rs 12,000 – Rs 15,000 range may want to wait. The listing confirms that the device exists, but the specifications, price and launch date remain unknown.
