Vivo isn’t quite done with the V70 series yet. After launching the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite in India a few days ago, the brand seems to be gearing up to unveil the V70 FE. Tipster PassionateGeekz has been posting details on the V70 FE, starting with a teaser image a few days ago that showed off the phone’s rear design and confirmed a 200MP primary camera. Now, a new tweet on X further reveals the design along with near-full specifications and a tentative launch date for Indonesia.
In the tweet, the tipster shared that the Vivo V70 FE will debut “tentatively” on February 28th, likely in Indonesia, given that the marketing material is in Indonesian. The tipster added that the V70 FE will be coming to India soon, though with “a few changes.” What these changes are is unclear at the moment, but here’s what we know about the model launching in Indonesia.

OriginOS 6 is expected to be available out of the box, with the marketing image suggesting a 5+6-year software upgrade policy, i.e. 5 years of major OS updates and 6 years of security updates. I’m a little sceptical about this since the V70 and V70 Elite come with a 4+6 policy. It sounds rather strange for a more affordable model in the lineup to offer an extra year of OS upgrade.
The image, which you should take with a pinch of salt, mentions other key Vivo V70 FE specs, such as a 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with rounded corners. It will be available in three RAM and storage configurations: 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 8GB+512GB. In addition to a 200MP primary camera, which fits into the ongoing megapixel race, you’ll get an 8MP ultrawide lens at the back, while the front gets a 32MP sensor.
The reason the Vivo V70 FE looks like a successor to the V60e is that it will get the same MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset. With this chipset and the specs on offer, one expects the Vivo V70 FE to launch in India at a price under Rs 30,000. To recall, the V60e was launched at Rs 29,999. However, it’s curious that Vivo is using the same chipset rather than upgrading.
Perhaps one of the “changes” the tipster mentioned could be a newer chipset in the V70 FE for the Indian market. But there is no word on this yet. As of now, this is all we know about the V70 FE. If it indeed launches in Indonesia on the 28th, we will have more to share with you then. The phone’s India launch can be expected in March.
Given these leaked specs, those in the market for a mid-range phone with a strong camera and battery might want to keep an eye on the V70 FE, but it’s wise to wait for official pricing and reviews before making a decision.
